# Publish approved testimonials to your Page

Every testimonial that passes your consent check posts to your Page as a quote, credited the way the customer agreed.

When this happens

New submission on your Share your experience testimonial form

Do this

Create a Page post on Facebook carrying the customer quote

One-directional. A submission triggers the action — nothing is written back into your form.

Reviews arrive in ones and twos, and most of them die in an inbox. This flow takes the words a customer already typed into your testimonial form and puts them straight on your Page, credited the way they agreed to be credited.

It suits small teams with no social rota — a clinic, a training provider, a two-person agency — where the person collecting feedback is also the person who would otherwise be retyping it into Facebook at the end of the week. The consent questions on the form decide what gets posted, so nothing goes public by accident.

## Setting it up

1. 1

Publish the Customer Testimonial Submission form and leave all three consent questions in place — they are what decides whether a quote can go on Facebook.

2. 2

In Zapier, create a Zap with formformform as the trigger app, choose New Submission, connect your account and select the testimonial form.

3. 3

Add a Filter step that only continues when May we use your testimonial on social media? is answered Yes, so nothing publishes without permission.

4. 4

Add Facebook Pages as the action, pick Create Page Post, and choose the Page where your reviews belong.

5. 5

Write the Message as the quote first, then a blank line, then a short attribution built from Your Full Name.

6. 6

Add Your Company or Job Title to that attribution line only when the matching consent question is Yes; a Zapier Path or a Formatter default keeps it out otherwise.

7. 7

Finish the message with Product or Service You Used so readers know which part of your business the review is about.

8. 8

Send a test testimonial, check the line breaks on the live post, then turn the Zap on.

## Variations worth knowing

Post only your strongest reviews

Add a second filter on Overall Satisfaction so the Zap continues on the top rating alone. Weaker testimonials still land in your responses, where you can read them and reply privately without them appearing on the Page at all.

Clear quotes before they publish

Keep the public form for collecting, and add a short internal form your team fills in for cleared quotes. Point the Zap at the internal form instead, and the Page only ever shows text someone has read end to end.

## If something isn't arriving

Submissions arrive but nothing posts

Check the filter is comparing against the exact answer text on the consent question. A choice that stores Yes, you may use it will not match a filter looking for Yes; copy the value from a real submission into the filter.

The quote and the name run together on one line

Facebook keeps the line breaks you send it, so add explicit blank lines in the Zapier message field rather than relying on the form's own formatting. Re-run the test submission to confirm the spacing before switching the Zap back on.

## Frequently asked questions

Do I need permission to put a customer review on Facebook?

Ask on the form. The Customer Testimonial Submission template has separate questions for publishing with a name, with a job title, and on social media, and the Zap reads those answers as filter conditions, so an unchecked box quietly stops the post.

Does the customer get told when their testimonial is posted?

No. The connection runs one way, from the form to your Page, and nothing is written back into the submission. If you want the customer to know, send them the post link yourself, or add an email step to the same Zap.

Can I edit a testimonial before it goes live?

Not in the flow itself — the Zap posts what was submitted. You can shape the wording around the quote in the message template, or run cleared quotes through a second internal form so any edits happen before Zapier ever sees them.

## Build the form first

The automation needs somewhere to fire from. Publish a form, connect it once, and every submission from then on runs this flow.
